Double Oakβs first Mayor was J.R. Griswald.

π³ Fun Fact About Our Town
Every Thanksgiving morning, Double Oak hosts its very own Turkey Trot β and it sells out every single year!
Now in its 16th year, the race started right here in our community when a few neighbors thought, βWhy drive somewhere else when weβve got Double Oak?β
Over the years, organizers have been approached about moving the event to larger venues with more parking and bigger crowds β but the answer has always been a proud no.
π¦ This race belongs to Double Oak, and thatβs exactly where itβs staying.

Curious about how our town operates? Weβve updated the Human Resources page on the Town website with our current organizational chart and job descriptions for all Town positions.
