π³ Fun Fact About Our Town
You might assume Double Oak was named for a couple of grand oak trees β but the real story is a little different! According to the Town's official history, our name comes from the old Double Oak School, which once stood on McMakin Road. When residents voted to make it official on May 25, 1974, that schoolhouse name carried right on into our town's identity. More than 50 years later, here we are!
However you're spending these long June days β out on a walk, firing up the grill, or keeping a drink frosty in your Double Oak koozie β we hope they're good ones. Thanks for reading, neighbors. Until next week! Warmly β Your Town Administrationπ³
