Upcoming Double Oak Public Meeting Dates

Property Presentation (407/Simmons) – Saturday December 13th, 2:00 pm at Oak Chapel Bible Church

The Town of Double Oak’s public Town Hall meeting on Saturday, December 13 at 2:00 p.m., is being relocated to Oak Chapel Bible Church, 8101 Justin Rd, Double Oak, TX 75077, due to unpredictable December weather. This meeting will provide high-level, conceptual information about the proposed development at FM 407 and Simmons Road. Many years ago, this tract was designated as the final opportunity for business development in Double Oak, and the future property and sales tax revenues generated from it will be essential to the town’s long-term financial stability. Attendees will hear an overview of what this project could become in the coming years and how it may support Double Oak’s fiscal future.

Please do not arrive earlier than 1:45 p.m. The presentation and Q&A will conclude promptly at 3:00 p.m., and all attendees must exit before 3:15 p.m. so the church may continue its holiday functions. The Town sincerely thanks Oak Chapel Bible Church for partnering with us to host this important meeting. This will be the first in a series of public meetings, and citizen engagement will be vital as plans continue to develop.

Town Council Meeting will be on December 15th, 2025, at the Town Hall

Town Hall will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday December 24th and 25th for the Christmas Holiday

Vintage 2024 Population Estimates

Final population estimates for counties and places in Texas, and the county population by age, sex, and race/ethnicity are now available for July 1 of each year from 2021 through 2024, as well as for January 1, 2025.

NEW! In the Vintage 2024 population estimates, we have included revised estimates for the period from July 2021 to July 2023. This adjustment is due to significant changes made by the Census Bureau to the Texas state estimates since 2021, which also affect the TDC county estimates. For more details, please refer to the methodology statement.
