Double Oak July 4th Parade and Picnic

This annual event is a staple of our community, bringing family and friends together and creating lifelong memories for all. It is organized and executed by the Double Oak Volunteer Fire Department and other community volunteers. Volunteers for the set-up on July 3rd and for the picnic on July 4 are always appreciated. If you are interested in helping either day please contact Kathy Heimerdinger at RetChief552@dovfd.org.

I hope you will take time to visit and enjoy some Family Friendly Fun, Games, Food, Snacks, Refreshments, and Live Music at John B. Wright Park. There will also be the opportunity to bid in the Silent Auction and buy Raffle Tickets for prizes.

The parade starts at 9:30am at the corner of Simmons and the north entrance of The Oaks and will proceed down Cross Timbers Drive ending at John B Wright Park. Additional information can be found at: https://www.dovfd.org/community/

The picnic starts at 10am and will be open until 2pm. Tickets for food and refreshments will be on sale the day of the event. Cash or Venmo accepted.

We hope to see you on July 4th. We appreciate your support of our Volunteer Fire Department.

🌳 Fun Facts About Our Town!
One of the things that makes Double Oak truly special is our wide open spaces! Every home in Double Oak sits on a minimum one-acre lot β€” that's no accident. Our town was purposefully designed to preserve the spacious, rural character that residents know and love. So the next time you enjoy a little extra elbow room between you and your neighbors, you can thank some very forward-thinking town planning! 🏑
