🔥Burn Ban in Effect
The DOVFD notified the Town Administration that a burn ban is now in effect for Double Oak and Denton County by Order of the Denton County Commissioners Court (link below)

đź’§A Note from Cross Timbers Water:
They are currently experiencing high water demand. Their system has exceeded 5 million gallons per day, with the majority of the increased demand coming from irrigation and sprinkler use.
Cross Timbers Water Supply Corporation remains in Stage 2 water restrictions, which requires customers to follow the even/odd address watering schedule.
The current watering restrictions and schedule can be found on the main page of our website at www.crosstimberswater.com.
It is important that residents understand the need to follow these restrictions. If demand continues to exceed 5 million gallons per day, they will have no choice but to move to Stage 3 of their Water Conservation Plan, which would limit outdoor watering to one day per week.

🗑️🚛Report Missed Garbage/Recycling
We have added a link on our website for residents to report when our waste pickup service misses your house. Please follow the link below and fill in the information requested and it will then be sent to Town Hall Administration for tracking purposes. In addition, it is important that you contact Republic Services as soon as you become aware that your collection was missed. By reporting the missed pickup promptly, Republic Services can arrange for a truck to return the following day to collect your trash and recycling. Did you know? Republic now has cameras on their trash/recycling pickup trucks to improve service.
Double Oak Women’s Club
Please join us for the Double Oak Women’s Club’s first general meeting of the year on Tuesday, September 22 at 7:00 PM at Double Oak Town Hall as we begin another exciting year of friendship, fellowship, service, and fun! Please note: This month only, we are meeting on the fourth Tuesday of September. The Double Oak Women’s Club brings together women of all generations and stages of life. Whether you’re looking to meet new friends, get involved, have some fun, or give back to our community, there’s a place for you in DOWC.
Throughout the year, our members enjoy:
· Women-focused gatherings and events
· Family-friendly and children’s activities
· Adult socials where spouses are welcome
· Special interest groups and activities
· Community service and charitable projects that make a difference right here at home
And together, we do make a difference! This past year, through membership, volunteer service, and fundraising, DOWC contributed more than $11,900 back into our community through scholarships, support for public safety, charitable giving, and assistance to local families.
That’s what DOWC is all about, its neighbors helping neighbors, building friendships, and women coming together to make a positive difference.
There are many ways to get involved, stay connected, recharge, make new friends, and simply have fun. We invite you to join us September 22 and see what DOWC is all about!

🌳 Fun Fact About Our Town
🌟 Did You Know? Double Oak is what Texas calls a "General Law City". This means the Town can only exercise the specific powers the State of Texas grants it. That's different from big neighbors like Flower Mound, which are "home rule" cities that write their own charters and largely make their own rules. In other words, Double Oak governs deliberately and by the book. We are a small town that plays exactly by the rules the State sets out. It's a big part of how the Town has kept its character intact all these years.
