🔥Burn Ban in Effect
The DOVFD notified the Town Administration that a burn ban is now in effect for Double Oak and Denton County by Order of the Denton County Commissioners Court (link below)

💧A Note from Cross Timbers Water:
They are currently experiencing high water demand. Their system has exceeded 5 million gallons per day, with the majority of the increased demand coming from irrigation and sprinkler use.
Cross Timbers Water Supply Corporation remains in Stage 2 water restrictions, which requires customers to follow the even/odd address watering schedule.
The current watering restrictions and schedule can be found on the main page of our website at www.crosstimberswater.com.
It is important that residents understand the need to follow these restrictions. If demand continues to exceed 5 million gallons per day, they will have no choice but to move to Stage 3 of their Water Conservation Plan, which would limit outdoor watering to one day per week.

🗑️🚛Report Missed Garbage/Recycling
We have added a link on our website for residents to report when our waste pickup service misses your house. Please follow the link below and fill in the information requested and it will then be sent to Town Hall Administration for tracking purposes. In addition, it is important that you contact Republic Services as soon as you become aware that your collection was missed. By reporting the missed pickup promptly, Republic Services can arrange for a truck to return the following day to collect your trash and recycling. Did you know? Republic now has cameras on their trash/recycling pickup trucks to improve service.

The Double Oak Police Department is getting ready for National Night Out and could still use some help from our community!

Any quantity is greatly appreciated! You don't have to provide the entire amount—every donation helps.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
We also need volunteers the day of the event for:
Setup crew (4 – 5:30pm)
Cleanup crew (7:30 – 8:15pm)
Bounce House supervisor (5:30-7:30pm)
Petting Zoo supervisor (5:30-7:30pm)
Rovers to help with miscellaneous tasks (5:30-7:30pm)
RAFFLE PRIZES
Local businesses, employers, and individuals are invited to donate raffle prizes, including $5–$25 gift cards, company-branded merchandise, or other appropriate giveaway items. Please, no alcohol-related items or monetary donations.

Applications are now open for the Planning & Zoning Commission and the Board of Adjustments. These volunteer boards play a key role in guiding how Double Oak grows and making sure our zoning rules are applied fairly. No special experience is required, just a love for our community. Apply HERE

🌟 Did You Know? Double Oak has just about doubled in population every couple of decades. The census tells the story: the town reported 836 residents in 1980, nearly doubled to 1,664 by 1990, grew to 2,179 in 2000, and reached 3,054 by 2020. Steady, deliberate growth — exactly the kind you'd expect from a town built on one-acre lots.
