Republic Trash Service will pickup on Saturday January 31st, 2026. No Recycling Service this week.

News from The Double Oak Women’s Club

The Double Oak Women’s Club is proud to share that proceeds from our Annual Auction fundraiser were recently donated to Kyle’s Place, a youth residential campus serving teens ages 14-19 right here in Denton County.

Kyle’s Place provides more than just a safe place to stay - it offers stability, encouragement, and a true family-like environment where young people can cultivate a positive identity, break negative cycles, take ownership of their lives, and map a thoughtful plan for their future. Through guidance, structure, and compassion, these teens are supported as they learn the life skills necessary to thrive in adulthood.

With the Double Oak Women’s Club donation in the form of gift cards, the teens at Kyle’s Place are able to shop for essential clothing - meeting practical needs while also restoring confidence, dignity, and a sense of independence. It is a small but meaningful way to let them know their community believes in them and is invested in their journey forward.

We are incredibly grateful to our members, donors, and auction supporters whose generosity made this gift possible. Together, we are helping young people take hopeful steps toward a brighter, more stable future.
